Mountain View-Gotebo Public Schools is receiving $12,500 to partner with Western Oklahoma State College and Mountain View Methodist Church for “LOGIC – Professional Development Program, Year 1.” In addition to implementing the LOGIC program, grant funds are used to promote interaction between parents and teachers to encourage students to meet high expectations. Parent meetings are held twice a year to inform parents about post-high school preparation. Also, grant funds provide students the opportunity to visit WOSC and meet with college professors who address their concerns about preparing for college. The church provides refreshments and materials for parent meetings and a school supply closet to assist students with school neccesities.
