Hardesty Public Schools received $20,500 to continue its partnership with Area 51 and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. They are implementing the Math and Science Institutes, Thinking Maps and SREB’s Assessing Academic Rigor to Ensure Grade-Level Participation and College Readiness.

In addition, grant funds are being used to expand the district’s LIFE program, which provides students with educational, social and cultural experiences outside the classroom. The LIFE program gives high school students the opportunity to travel to different cities, colleges and universities to experience firsthand postsecondary and career options.
