Amber-Pocasset Public Schools is continuing its partnership with Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the Pocasset Lions Club for “Amber-Pocasset College Bound.” They are using the $20,500 grant to implement the Science Institute, Ruby Payne’s aha! Process School Workshops and SREB’s Assessing Academic Rigor to Ensure Grade-Level Participation and College Readiness. In addition, funds are used to conduct parent information meetings to increase the awareness of college readiness. Also, grants funds help to provide ACT prep workshops and college campus tours.
