Workplan / Priority Issues
During 2012, in addition to providing input to the State Regents, the Chancellor, and the State Regents' staff regarding ongoing higher education initiatives, the Faculty Advisory Council will focus on the following topics:
- Preparation of high school students for college.
- Preparation of transfer students from technology centers, online programs and community colleges to universities.
- Improvement of developmental education and gateway courses.
- Impact of faculty salaries on recruitment and retention.
- Impact of health insurance and retirement benefits on recruitment and retention.
- Promoting of higher education in the Legislature.
