Comparing the EPAS Standards for Transition to the Oklahoma Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS)
Findings
- The Social Studies Curriculum Committee believes there to be consistency between the EPAS Reading Standards for Transition and the PASS Social Studies Process Skills.
- The Social Studies Curriculum Committee believes that teachers teaching PASS to a high level of rigor should feel confident that many of the EPAS Reading Standards are also being addressed.
- The Social Studies Curriculum Committee found PASS Social Studies to be very specific regarding content. EPAS Reading does not specifically address social studies content, but PASS Social Studies Process Skills are consistent with EPAS Reading Standards.
